CLEMSON, S.C. β Clemson Womenβs Tennis is set to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Palmetto Series on February 14 at 4:00 p.m. at the Carolina Tennis Center in Columbia, S.C. In the 59th match-up between the teams, the Gamecocks lead the series 31-28.

βThe Palmetto Series is as big of a rivalry as any in the country,β head coach Boomer Saia said. βWe had a great win at home last year against USC, and we are looking forward to our trip to Columbia to try to put it on the line for a win. The Gamecocks have a talented team, and we look forward to this excellent rivalry challenge on the road.β
The Tigers are coming off a massive doubleheader win over Georgia Southern 6-1 and College of Charleston 5-1, keeping their impressive 7-1 record intact. Last week, South Carolina downed No. 23 Georgia Tech 4-3.Β
In doubles against Georgia Southern, Eleni Louka and Jenna Thompson clinched the doubles point against Silvia Martinez and Lindsay Tulenko, 6-1. This marks the sixth time the pair clinched the doubles point this season.
In the Palmetto Series, the Tigers and Gamecocks are tied 3-3. When the rivals face off this season, each will earn points for a win, with the overall winner taking home the Palmetto Series trophy and bragging rights. More information about the series can be found here.
