CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers (7-1) face off against Coastal Carolina (2-2) on February 17 at 11 a.m. at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility. This will be the fifth meeting between the programs, with Clemson leading 4-0. Clemson came out on top in the last match, 7-0.
Clemson’s match against Mercer, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 17 at 3:30 p.m., has been postponed. More information will come on the rescheduled date for this match.
“We are approaching Coastal Carolina like every match this season,” Head coach Boomer Saia said. “We must set the tone early in our doubles and play Tiger Tennis. We strive to have nine lines of excellence in our three doubles and six singles to win.”
Coastal Carolina is coming off a 6-1 loss to Charleston Southern, their second of the season.
Alex Anttila, the sophomore, is coming off a massive singles win against Olympe Lancelot from South Carolina. Anttila defeated Lancelot in the first set 6-3 and fell in the second 2-6. Anttila ultimately came out on top in a super tiebreak set and won 10-7.
