Martin Named ACC Golfer of the Month

Clemson, SC – Clemson junior Ben Martin has been named ACC Golfer of the month for February. The native of Greenwood finished third at the Puerto Rico Classic that ended this past Sunday with a score of 206.

Martin had scores of 71-69-66 to record his career best 206 score, the low total by a Clemson golfer since 2004 when Jack Ferguson shot a 206 at the ACC Tournament. Martin was the top Clemson golfer at the event, helping Clemson to a second place finish behind number-one ranked Georgia. Martin’s score was the best among all the ACC golfers at the event.

Martin holds the distinction of being the first recipient of this award as it was instituted by the ACC for the first time this spring.
