CLEMSON S.C. – Head Lacrosse Coach Allison Kwolek is pleased to announce the addition of Marina Miller to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Miller will serve as an Assistant Coach alongside Assistant Coach Madison Carter and Associate Head Coach Bill Olin.
“We’re thrilled that Marina has joined our staff as an assistant coach,” said Coach Kwolek. “She was voted co-captain of our inaugural team, and showed such great leadership on and off the field. Marina will be a great fit with our coaching staff, she truly loves the sport of lacrosse and that shows every day with her energy and enthusiasm.” Coach Kwolek went on to explain that “the NCAA recently passed legislation allowing an additional assistant coach and Clemson is jumping right in, wasting no time in adding a fourth full-time coach to our staff. Once again, we can’t thank Clemson and the athletic administration for the incredible support. The resources and commitment to women’s lacrosse continues to pave the way for our student-athletes to have everything they need to succeed.”
Miller joins the coaching staff after an impressive season with Clemson where she started all 18 games, scored 23 goals, registered 11 assists, forced eight turnovers, secured 33 draw controls and had 17 ground balls. She also notably scored hat tricks in four games. Her contributions led her to be selected for the 2023 Senior All-Star Team and the South’s All-Region Second Team. Before coming to Clemson, Miller also played under Kwolek at the University of Richmond as a team captain. In her collegiate career, Miller totaled 67 goals, 32 assists, 57 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers and 113 draw controls.
“I am so excited to join Coach Kwolek and the rest of the staff at Clemson” said Marina Miller. “Clemson is a special place with great people and amazing resources. I am thrilled to join forces with them to continue building a tradition of excellence for our women’s lacrosse program, setting the highest standard and helping our athletes succeed at the highest level.”
