Makenna Morris Invited to Train with U-20 US Women’s National Team

CLEMSON, S.C. – Sophomore forward/defender Makenna Morris has been named one of 24 players to compete with the U-20 US Women’s National Team in Chula Vista, California at the Elite Athlete Training Center for a year end camp from Dec. 7-14. Morris adds her second U-20 experience to her resume after competing with the U-20 team last year along with gaining U-15 and U-17 experience.

Morris was a steady presence yet again for the Tigers as she played in every match and started in all but one. Shining in the forward position, Morris netted six goals and added nine assists for a career-high and second best on the team. She was rewarded for her efforts with Third Team All-ACC and United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Atlantic Region honors.

“We are proud and excited for Makenna being invited to the US-20 National Team Camp,” says Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. “It is always an honor to represent your country and this will be another great experience for Makenna. She always represents Clemson well and this experience will benefit her.”

“I am really excited to be able to represent Clemson at National Team Camp and have the opportunity to learn from the best players and coaches at the U-20 level,” says Morris. “I want to gain a lot of knowledge throughout this camp so that I am prepared and can come back an even better player in the 2022 season for my team.”
