COLLEGE STATION, Texas – In his first-ever NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship, Clemson’s John Lewis earned First Team All-American accolades in route to placing seventh in the men’s 800m finals Saturday at Texas A&M’s Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium. After four laps around the Aggies’ 200-meter track, the junior turned in his second-best career time of 1:47.71.
2018 ACC triple jump champion Jeremiah Green claimed Second Team All-American honors in the men’s triple jump. Green, now a four-time indoor All-American, including two First Team distinctions while at Alabama, finished 11th in Saturday’s event. The Tampa, Florida, native achieved a best leap of 15.86m (52-0.5) on his second jump of the day.
In the final event of this year’s indoor national championship, the Clemson women’s 4x400m relay team consisting of Olivia James, Kendra Clarke, Kamryn McIntosh and Fellan Ferguson placed 10th among an elite field of competitors. The Tigers posted a time of 3:33.44. With a top-16 finish, the Tiger women earned Second Team All-American honors.
