Sixteen Tigers Named Academic All-ACC

CLEMSON, SC – Sixteen Clemson student-athletes were named to the Academic All-ACC team as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Clemson led the conference with five freshmen named to the team, three of whom were also named to the All-ACC Freshman Team on the field. 

Bella Karstien earned her team-high third such honor, as she had been named to the team twice at Clemson, and once while at Louisville. Krissy Kowalski, Emily Lamparter, Ella Little, Paris Masaracchia and Emma Tilson each earned their second award, while 10 earned it for the first time. 

Masaracchia and Lamparter were also named to the All-ACC second team on the field. Freshmen Regan Byrne, Kayla Macleod and Natalie Shurtleff, each of whom was named to the All-ACC Freshman team, were on the list as well. 

All-ACC Academic teams are composed of students with considerable academic and athletic achievements. To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average throughout the duration of their academic career. Additionally, these student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests throughout the duration of the season.
