CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson track and field program has signed pole vaulter Jack Vecellio out of South Deerfield, Massachusetts, the team announced on Tuesday. Vecellio adds to the program’s already stellar signing class.
The Massachusetts native projects to make an immediate impact on the team and the ACC vaulting landscape. He holds a PR of 16 feet, 7 inches.
“The pole vault is an area of our team that we are trying to build and Jack is the person to start that process,” raved Program Director Mark Elliott. “We’re highly excited about his ability and extremely happy to have him as a part of our team.”
The track and field team returns to action on January 8, 2022 in the Orange & Purple Elite Meet hosted at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex.
