Holder Cards Program-Record 64 in Round One of Schooner Fall Classic

Norman, Okla. – Sophomore transfer Chloe Holder carded a Clemson-record 64 (-6) to sit in a tie for first after the first round of the Schooner Fall Classic at the par-70, 6,109-yard Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla.

As a team, the Tigers finished at -7 on the day (273) to sit in a tie for third with ACC-foe Virginia Tech. Fellow ACC member Florida State leads with a first-round 267 (-13), just ahead of Oklahoma (268; -12).

Holder, the Anderson, S.C., native fired off a seven-birdie round, including five on the front nine, with just one bogey to finish at 64 (-6) in a tie for first with Crystal Wang of Illinois. Savannah Grewal turned in a 69 (-1) on the day, finishing with three birdies. Annabelle Pancake and Melena Barrientos both finished at even (70), while freshman Sydney Roberts shot a 73. Playing as an individual, Katherine Schuster shot a 68 (-2) and is tied for 15th.

The Tigers return to the course for round two Sunday morning at 9:50 a.m. central, paired with Oklahoma State and Illinois. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
