CLEMSON, S.C. – Former Clemson Tiger point guard Dayshanette Harris becomes the seventh former Tiger in the professional ranks after she signed her first professional contract with LDLC Asvel – a team in the top tier of the French women’s basketball league.
After transferring to Clemson for her final collegiate season, Harris became a force for the Tigers and quickly turned into one of the best point guards in the ACC. She recorded career highs of 14.2 points per game while shooting 43.6% from the floor, made 123 free throws, and more than doubled her previous personal best with 156 assists on the season.
During her season in Tiger Town, Harris ranked fourth in the nation in assist percentage (42.3%) and finished in the top ten in the ACC in assists, assists per game (5.0), steals per game (1.7), free throws, and PER (26.1).
LDLC Asvel is located near the French city of Lyon. The squad has won the league title on two different occasions (2019, 2023), and won the 2022-23 EuroCup Women’s competition after beating Turkish side Galatasaray in the final. Former NBA All-Star Tony Parker is the club’s president.
Harris joins Amari Robinson as members of the 2023-24 Tiger team that have signed professional contracts. A former Clemson player has signed to play professional basketball in seven consecutive seasons.
