Giusca Recognized in ITA Rankings

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced on Wednesday its national rankings, and senior Teodor Giusca comes in as the 109th-ranked singles player. This marks Giusca’s second straight season in the ITA rankings.

Giusca enjoyed a successful fall season, winning 10 singles matches and dropping only three. Playing at both lines 1 and 2, Giusca knocked off three ranked opponents in the fall. He started off strong at the Hidden Dual in Auburn, Ala. taking down #93 Joubert Klopper 6-3, 7-6 (1) from Vanderbilt to help propel the Tigers to a victory. The last weekend of the fall season may have been Giusca’s best, defeating #110 Blake Croyder of Georgia 7-6 (5), 6-2 and Yale’s #69 Michael Sun 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to finish out the season.

Giusca and the Tigers will be back in action for their spring season when they open up against Furman and Wofford on January 15 at the Duckworth Family Tennis Center.
