Gilmore, Jurkunas To Miss Saturday’s Game Against South Carolina State

Dec. 10, 1999

CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson starting forward Chucky Gilmore will miss Saturday’s game with South Carolina State. The native of Fayetteville, NC suffered a concussion in practice on Thursday when he caught a teammate’s unintentional elbow in the temple. Gilmore was taken to Oconnee Memorial Hospital for observation. He will not practice with the Tigers until at least Tuesday.

Andrius Jurkunas, Clemson senior forward, will miss another contest due to a broken right thumb. Point guard Edward Scott will play against South Carolina State despite having the toe nail on his right big toe removed. He had been playing with the pain the last three games.

Clemson will still be without the services of freshman guard Pasha Bains, who must sit out one more game due to the NCAA transfer rule. He will be eligible to play against South Carolina on December 16.
