Clemson, S.C. – For the first time in his career, Joran Gerbet earned All-America honors, it was announced today by the United Soccer Coaches organization. The Valence, France, native earned a spot on the First Team, as voted on by the organization.
Gerbet is the 38th Tiger in program history (45th total) to earn All-America honors. Last season, eventual MAC Hermann Trophy winner Ousmane Sylla also earned All-America honors.
The senior adds to his many recognitions this season, already having been named the ACC’s Midfielder of the Year, an All-ACC First Team performer, an All-ACC Tournament honoree and First Team All-South Region. Earlier this week, he was named First-Team All-South Region and a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist.
Gerbet, a 2024 team captain, was named the ACC Midfielder of the Year after finishing second on the team in points (22), with seven goals and eight assists. He was named to the ACC All-Tournament team after leading the Tigers’ to their fifth ACC title game appearance in six seasons. He was named First Team All-ACC and the No. 6 player on the TopDrawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 list. He was also named ACC Offensive Player of the Week on October 7 after scoring two goals in Clemson’s upset win over then-No. 4 North Carolina.
