CLEMSON, SC – Jonathan Gantt has been named Director of New Media for Clemson Athletics, athletic director Dan Radakovich announced today. Gantt will begin work at Clemson on Oct. 28.

“We look forward to bringing Jonathan on board to help develop our plan in a vital area of communication,” Radakovich said. “His vision and experience will help our department tremendously as we continue to move forward in the digital space.”

At Clemson, Gantt will oversee all web and social media strategies of the athletic department. He will also help with the creation and management of content for social media and serve as a liaison with official athletic site partner NeuLion.

Prior to his tenure at Tampa Bay, Gantt worked as Marketing/Public Relations Manager with Ripken Baseball and the Charlotte Stone Crabs. Gantt helped launch the Stone Crabs organization, the high-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, in 2008.

A 2008 graduate of Middle Tennessee State, Gantt worked with the Nashville Sounds and as a student assistant in the Washington and Lee sports information office.
