The Clemson Tigers womenâs basketball team is set to start the ACC opener by hosting the Duke Blue Devils on Thursday, December 7 at 7 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum.
Clemson is 33-44 all-time against Duke, Amanda Butlerâs teams are 1-3 overall against the Blue Devils. Thursdayâs game can be seen on ACC Network, Jason Ross and Jasmine Thomas will be on the TV broadcast, William Qualkinbush and Sarah-Jo Lawrence can be heard on the radio broadcast on 105.5 The Roar and the Clemson Tigers app.
This is the first game of a four-game homestand â Clemsonâs longest such stretch of the season. The Tigers will also be hosting Georgia State, Air Force, and East Tennessee State before Christmas.
Clemson is 5-4 as it starts conference action.
Heading into the ACC opener, Clemson has been shooting historically well including its game against Arkansas â Pine Bluff which featured some of the best shooting the Tigers have seen in over a decade. Clemson shot 12-23 from outside, giving the Tigers their best shooting performance with over 15 attempts from outside since 2013. In Clemsonâs 39-point win over Longwood, the Tigers tied a program record for most three pointers in a single game with 14.
Clemson leads the ACC with 67 made three pointers on the season.
