CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers Women’s Basketball team (10-7, 3-3) hits the road following a four-game homestand to play the Florida State Seminoles (13-4, 3-2). Thursday’s contest will tip of at 6:00 p.m. and can be seen on ACCNX. Shawn Davison and Melissa Bruner will be on the call on TV, William Qualkinbush and Jasmine McMoore can be heard on the Clemson Athletic Network.

In Clemson’s last outing against No. 3 Notre Dame, the Tigers put up one of the best showings that the Fighting Irish have seen this season. In all of Notre Dame’s wins this season, only two have been by single digits. The Tigers cut the lead to three in the fourth quarter in their valiant effort.

The Tiger attack is led by Loyal McQueen, who just scored her 1,000th career point in Clemson’s most recent game. McQueen, a native of Florence, S.C., leads the Tigers in scoring and assists. She’s averaging career highs in scoring (14.0 ppg), rebounds (3.4 rpg), assists (5.1 apg), and shooting (.422/.412/.851)

With McQueen joining teammates Raven Thompson and Tessa Miller in the 1,000-point club, the Tigers are just one of two teams in the nation to enter the season with zero 1,000-point scorers, and now have three.

Mia Moore has been a valuable addition to the Tigers out of the transfer portal this offseason. Moore is Clemson’s second leading scorer (11.3 ppg) and rebounder (5.6 rpg), and leads CU in steals (1.2 spg).
