PREVIEW

  • Clemson opens the 2022 season at the FGCU Kickoff Classic hosted by Florida Gulf Coast.
  • Action begins for the Tigers on Thursday at 7 p.m. against FGCU and conclude Sunday against Boston College.
  • Clemson holds a 4-3 record in opening-weekend action since 2020.
  • Clemson has outscored opponents 44-38 in opening weekends.
  • Last season, the Tigers were averaging .293 from the plate and 5.38 runs per game with a .377 on-base percentage, .500 slugging percentage and 1.67 stolen bases per game.
  • The pitching staff maintained a 1.52 ERA, .198 opponents’ batting average and struck out 369 batters. Clemson was also fielding .969 at the end of last season.
