Freshman Freida Lim Wins Two Gold Medals at Singapore National Diving Championships

CLEMSON, S.C. – Incoming freshman Freida Lim won two gold medals at the Singapore National Diving Championships held at the OCBC Aquatic Center in Singapore on July 2. Lim claimed titles in the women’s individual age group A platform and the one-meter springboard event.

Lim, who signed a National Letter of Intent in April to dive for Head Coach Leslie Hasselbach Adams and the Tigers and will enroll at Clemson this fall, scored 391.0 points to win the platform competition and 340.55 points en route to the first-place finish in the one-meter.

Lim’s results qualify her to represent the Republic of Singapore at the FINA World Junior Diving Championships in Kazan, Russia in November. She has also qualified to compete in the SEA (Southeast Asian) Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2017. Lim was the bronze medalist at the SEA Games in 2015.
