CLEMSON, S.C. – COLLEGE SPORTS announced Friday afternoon that four of Clemson’s final five football games will be replayed by COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast on a “sample basis” and aired on South Carolina ETV each Sunday evening. The replays will be edited to accommodate the three-hour window.
This weekend’s Clemson vs. Maryland football contest will be the initial replay broadcast and is scheduled to be aired by SCETV on Sunday, October 15th, at 5:00 PM. The Clemson at North Carolina game will be replayed on Sunday, October 22nd at 4:00 PM, the Clemson vs. Georgia Tech game will be replayed on Sunday, October 29th at 5:00 PM and the Clemson at Florida State game will be replayed on Sunday, November 5th at 5:00 PM. The remaining seven Clemson games will be aired at a yet to be determined schedule, either in the month of December or in January.
Veteran College Sports Central anchor Doug Bell will be the principal announcer for the Clemson broadcasts. Bell has provided play-by-play analysis for Big 12 Conference basketball, SEC baseball and the NFL. Cecil “Hootie” Ingram will serve as color analyst for COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast’s Clemson football broadcasts. Ingram served as Clemson head football coach 1970-72.
In order to uphold the integrity of the contract between COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast and Knology of Charleston, the sampling of SCETV and COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast broadcasts will “blacked out” in the Charleston market. For those residents living in the Charleston area, as well as residents throughout the state, call your local cable operator and ask for COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast, the cable home for Clemson athletics.
