May 7, 2011

CLEMSON, SC – Former Clemson sprinter Travis Padgett returned to the school’s Rock Norman Track on Saturday, competing professionally for adidas. Padgett won the 100m dash with a legal time of 10.11 seconds in his first race of the 2011 season. Padgett was a six-time All-American for the Tigers, which included an NCAA championship in 2007 in the 60m dash. He bypassed his final year of eligibility at Clemson in 2008 after setting a collegiate record with a time of 9.89 in the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, OR. Padgett ran with Team USA’s 4x100m relay at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
