Five Tigers Earn All-Conference Honors

Clemson, S.C. – Clemson men’s soccer earned six postseason All-ACC honors, including one on each team, it was announced on Wednesday by the conference office. Voting was conduced by the league’s head coaches. 

First Team All-ACC

Senior forward Ousmane Sylla earned his second-consecutive first team All-ACC honor and third all-conference honor of his career. Sylla leads the Tigers in both goals and assists, with seven and nine respectively. Sylla also now sits at No. 14 on Clemson’s all-time assists list (23). After scoring his first-ever career hat trick versus Boston College on Senior Night, Sylla has 23 points on the season. The Dakar, Senegal, native was named the ACC Offensive Player of the week on October 10 and was named No. 55 on Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 College Soccer Players. 

Second Team All-ACC

Senior midfielder Brandon Parrish earned his first-career all-conference honor after an incredible season for the Tigers. As captain, Parrish has two goals and two assists, with his free-kick goal against USF being one of the best this season. So far this season, Parrish has recorded six points and nine shots on goal for the season.

Third Team All-ACC

Junior midfielder Joran Gerbet earned his first career ACC honor after his first season with the TIgers. The Oregon State transfer previously was the PAC-12 Player of The Year (‘22) and was All-Pac 12 selection. In 2021 Gerbet earned the PAC-12 Freshman of The Year honor while also being named to the All-Pac 12 selection, and finally was a part of the All-Far West Region. Gerbet has recorded three goals, with one assist, earning seven points. Gerbet was also named No. 62 on the Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 College Soccer Players. 

Freshman defender Pape Mar Boye earned his first career conference honor after a breakout freshman season. Boye has two goals on the season and has been an integral part of the Tigers being fifth in the nation in goal differential. 

Sophomore Forward Nathan Richmond rounds out the third team with his first career conference honor. The sophomore has connected on five goals, has five assists and has earned 15 points. His fifth goal on the season earned the #5 spot on SportsCenters Top 10 Plays of the Week. 

All-Freshman Team

Boye was also named to the 2023 ACC All-Freshman team. He has started in 12 games this season and continues to be a force on the Tigers’ back line.

Up next, the no. 4 Tigers take on no. 9 Louisville at home in the semifinal round of the ACC Championship, slated to begin at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will be shown on the ACC Network.
