CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson baseball program begins its spring training season this week in advance of its 129th season of competition. The Tigers, ranked No. 19 in the preseason by D1Baseball and No. 20 in the preseason by Perfect Game, open the season with a three-game series against Army West Point at Doug Kingsmore Stadium from Feb. 13-15 in the first-ever matchups between the two programs.
Erik Bakich is in his fourth season as head coach at Clemson, as he has directed the Tigers to 133 victories, tied for seventh most in the nation during that time. Clemson was one of only two programs to total 44+ wins in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Bakich also led the Tigers to a regional host season in 2023, 2024 and 2025, one of only two schools in the nation that can make the claim. His 66.0 winning percentage against ACC teams since 2023 is highest among ACC members as well.
Junior Aidan Knaak is a two-time, First-Team All-ACC selection who is a preseason All-American. The righthander is 14-2 with a 3.78 ERA, .217 opponents’ batting average and 218 strikeouts against 58 walks in 173.2 innings pitched over 31 starts in his two seasons at Clemson. The Tigers have a 26-5 record in his 31 career starts.
The 2026 schedule features 30 home games and seven combined games at six different minor league parks. The ACC Tournament returns to Charlotte, N.C. for the fourth time overall and first time since 2024.
