July 5, 2006

Clemson, SC –Sophomore lefthander Daniel Moskos (Alta Loma, CA) was one of 22 players selected for the final USA Baseball National Team roster on Sunday. The squad is comprised of seven freshmen, 14 sophomores, and one junior. The team will practice on Monday in Pawtucket, RI, and will open its official summer slate against Taiwan on Tuesday at 6:05 PM.

Moskos had a 5-5 record and 2.52 ERA in 33 relief appearances during the 2006 season to help the Tigers to a College World Series appearance and an ACC title. The 33 appearances tied the school record for most appearances in a season. He also had 10 saves, tied for third-most in a season in Tiger history. In 53.2 innings pitched, he allowed just 44 hits, 21 walks, and one home run with 54 strikeouts.

Moskos is the first Tiger to play for Team USA since 2001, when infielder Jeff Baker (2000-02) was on the squad.
