GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference 50th Anniversary Women’s Soccer team was announced today by Commissioner John Swofford. The 50-member team was voted on by the eight league institutions that sponsor the sport as decided by the league’s 50th Anniversary Committee.
North Carolina led all league schools with 23 members on the Golden Anniversary team while NC State was second with seven honorees. Duke and Maryland had five players each, followed by Clemson and Virginia with four apiece and Wake Forest with two.
The ACC’s 50th Anniversary Women’s Soccer team, in alphabetical order, is as follows:

Julie Augustyniak, Clemson (1997-2000) Soccertimes.com All-American in 2000 … All-ACC in 1999 … All-Southeast region in 2000 … ACC All-Tournament team in 2000 … tied for first place in career starts in Clemson history with 89 … started every match she played for the Tigers, finished her career with six goals and 10 assists as a defender for the Tigers.
Nancy Augustyniak, Clemson (1997-2000) NSCAA All-American in 2000 … Soccertimes.com All-American in 2000 … First-team All-ACC in 1999 and 2000 … All-ACC Tournament team in 1998 and 1999 … All-Southeast region in 1999 and 2000 … fourth on the Clemson all-time list in games started in a career with 85, scored six goals and had six assists as a defender for the Tigers.
Sara Burkett, Clemson (1995-1998) Clemson’s first All-American in 1997 and 1998 … first-team All-ACC 1995-98 … All-Southeast Region in 1995, 1997 and 1998 … Clemson career scoring leader with 39 goals and 36 assists for 114 points … All-ACC Tournament team in 1996 and 1997.
Beth Keller, Clemson (1996-1999) Soccer Times All-American in 1998 … first-team All-ACC in 1999, second-team All-ACC in 1996 and 1998 … All-ACC Tournament team in 1998 … ranks third all-time in Clemson history in career points with 35 goals and 23 assists for 93 points.
