Clemson’s Clement Reix Selected ACC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Clement Reix from Clemson has been named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week after helping the 32nd-ranked Tigers upset No. 10 Florida State, 4-3, in conference action last Friday.

Reix, who is ranked the No. 59 singles player in the nation, posted wins in both singles and doubles action in last week’s conference opener between Clemson and Florida State. He defeated FSU’s Ytai Abougzir 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 at the No. 1 singles flight and extended his win streak to six matches in a row.

Earlier in the day, the senior from Amiens, France, paired with Ryan Young to defeat the Seminoles’ top doubles tandem of Abougzir and Jonathas Sucupira, 8-5.
