CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson women’s tennis team received a NCAA Tournament Bid as announced by the NCAA Thursday afternoon.
The Clemson women’s tennis team will play Fresno State on May 12 or 13 at Stanford, CA. The date is to be determined. The winner of this match will play the winner of the Stanford-Weber State match the next day (May 13 or 14). A total of 64 teams are invited to the NCAA Tournament.
This will be the ninth time Clemson has been to the NCAA Tournament since the event was started in 1982.
Clemson’s Carmina Giraldo was selected to the NCAA’s Singles Tournament to be played on May 22-26 at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. This tournament consists of the top 64 singles players in the nation. Giraldo has a 28-7 this season in singles play.
