Clemson Women Ranked Third in USTFCCCA Week One Rankings

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s track and field program has been ranked No. 3 in the week one U.S Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ranking, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

The Clemson Women are ranked No. 1 in the Southeast Region and No. 1 in the ACC.

The Tigers have been performing well on the women’s side as multiple athletes have recorded top-10 performances and set new program records. Following each meet this season, the Clemson Women have earned ACC weekly honors as freshman Aniyah Kitt has picked up three honors, sophomore Gladys Chepngetich has earned two and Shantae Foreman and Aleksandra Stoilova have each been named once.

Chepngetich also earned a national weekly honor as she was named the USTFCCCA Women’s DI Athlete of the Week on January 13.

On the National Indoor Qualifying list, Clemson has nine female athletes represented and two relay teams (4×400 relay, distance-medley relay) as the Tigers will look to secure their place at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

Up next, the Tigers will compete and host the two-day Bob Pollock Invitational starting on January 31 at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex.
