Clemson quarterback Woodrow Dantzler had 119 yards rushing intoday’s game, his ninth career 100-yard rushing performance. He istied with Joe Burns of Georgia Tech among active ACC players inthat category. The ninth 100-yard rushing effort moved Dantzlerinto fifth place on Clemson’s career list of 100- yard rushinggames. He is now just one away from Terry Allen, who had 10 in hisClemson career (1987-89). Dantzler had 300 yards of total offenseand at least 100-yards for the third time this year and seventhtime in his Clemson career. In three road games this year, Dantzlerhas averaged 156 yards rushing and 266 yards passing for 422 yardstotal on a per game basis. Clemson’s defense held Wake Forest to 14 points today.That is the fewest points scored by a Clemson opponent since theWofford game on September 8. It is the fewest points scored by anopponent in an ACC game since last year’s 35- 14 over Maryland onOctober 14th. Clemson has now started out 3-0 on the road in theACC for the second year in a row, but just the third time since1983.
