Clemson vs. Alabama National Prime Time Game on ABC

Clemson, SC — The Clemson vs. Alabama football game at the Georgia Dome on August 30 will have an 8:00 PM kickoff and will be televised nationally by ABC. The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the kickoff times for each of Clemson’s first three contests on Tuesday.

The conference also announced that the September 6 game versus The Citadel will have a 3:30 PM kickoff, while the Clemson vs. NC State game on September 13 will start at Noon. The Clemson vs. The Citadel game will not appear on live television, but it will have a live internet showing on ESPN 360. The Clemson vs. NC State game will be televised by Raycom.

Earlier, the ACC announced that the October 9 Clemson at Wake Forest would will have a 7:30 PM start and will be shown on ESPN. The kickoff for Clemson’s other eight games this year will be announced 12 days prior to kickoff.

Clemson and Alabama will face each other on the gridiron for the first time since 1975. This will be the second straight year Clemson will play a nationally televised game on the opening weekend of college football. Last year, Clemson played host to Florida State on Labor Day evening and the game recorded a 5.03 rating, the highest rated college game on that opening weekend.

This year’s game with Alabama will mark the first time Clemson has played in the 8:00 PM primetime Saturday night broadcast nationally on ABC.
