Clemson Volleyball Team Wins Seventh Consecutive Match With 3-0 Victory Over Charleston Southern

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson volleyball team won its seventh consecutive match with a 3-0 victory over Charleston Southern on Saturday morning in Jervey Gym. The Tigers claimed the match with scores of 30-17, 30-21 and 30-25. With the win, Clemson improved to 9-5 on the season, while Charleston Southern is 9-4 overall.

Clemson hit .404 as a team while holding Charleston Southern to a .173 hitting percentage. The Tigers recorded 13 blocks, with three service aces. Leslie Finn lead all Tiger hitters with 15 kills, while Lori Ashton added 13 kills, three blocks and a .455 hitting percentage. Ryane Beasley also tallied double-digit kills with 12 kills, a .611 hitting percentage and five blocks (one solo). Stephanie Haskell handed out 30 assists with one service ace, and Liz Beckham had 11 digs.

Allyn Beam led Charleston Southern with 11 kills and a .391 hitting percentage, while Katie O’Riordan had 33 assists. Tori Owens posted 10 digs, and Becky Miller served up two aces.

The Tigers will face Illinois-Chicago in the finale of the Clemson Invitational on Saturday night at 7:00 PM in Jervey Gym.
