CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson volleyball team will take on Furman on Wednesday night in Jervey Gymnasium at 7:15 pm. The Tigers are playing in their second spring date, as the competed in the Atlanta Invitational this past Sunday.
Additionally, the Tigers will host a three-team tournament on Saturday, and will take on Winthrop and Charlotte at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
The match with Furman, originally scheduled for April 15, was moved up to this week. The Tigers took a 3-2 grinder from Furman during the 2009 season. Furman won the first two sets before Clemson clawed back to take the next three to move to 9-3 on the season.
In that match, senior and ACC Defensive Player of the Year Didem Ege set the single-match record for digs with 36. Additionally, Lia Proctor had 19 kills and a career-high 27 digs. Freshman Natalie Patzin also posted a career-high 18 kills against only two errors.
