DESTIN, Fla. – The Clemson women’s basketball team has been invited to play in the inaugural Emerald Coast Classic, Global Sports announced on Thursday morning.
The Tigers will be in the Bay Bracket of the eight-team event and will be in the same four-team grouping as Alabama – which made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament – Alabama State, and 2024 WNIT participant UAB.
“We are excited to compete in this year’s Emerald Coast Classic,” Head Coach Shawn Poppie stated. “As we build our non-conference schedule, we look to find ways to help prepare us for our ACC slate. The competition and layout of the Emerald Coast Classic will do just that.”
Destin, Fla. will be the host city of the Emerald Coast Classic, and the games will be played on Nov. 25 and 26 at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College.
