Clemson to Host East Carolina This Weekend

Clemson will open its 1998 home baseball schedule this weekend against East Carolina. The two will play Friday (3:00 PM), Saturday (2:00 PM), and Sunday (1:00 PM) at Tiger Field. The Tigers enter the series off three consecutive wins in the Olive Garden Classic in Florida last weekend, winning the tournament championship. East Carolina was defeated 3-2 by Duke in its only game of the season.

Clemson head coach Jack Leggett will face off against his former assistant at Western Carolina in Keith LeClair, who is in his first season as East Carolina head coach. LeClair was Western Carolina’s head coach since 1992 before being named East Carolina’s head coach before the ’98 season.

Baseball season tickets still remain and can be obtained by calling 1-800 CLEMSON. Over 1,100 season tickets have been sold to date.
