Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers (6-3, 1-3 ACC) are set to host fellow ACC opponent No. 5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-2, 2-2 ACC) on Friday, March 22 at Clemson’s Lacrosse Complex at 7:00 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ACCNX and live stats will be available here.

Taking down No. 1 Northwestern, No. 7  North Carolina and most recently No. 2 Boston College has earned Notre Dame the No. 5 ranking in the IWLCA/ILWomen Poll. Jackie Wolak leads the Fighting Irish in goals, assists and total points this season. The Fighting Irish enter Friday’s game outsourcing their opponents 144 to 84.

Clemson is coming off of a narrow 12-13 loss to Louisville, dropping them to 1-3 in ACC play. Despite the loss, the Tigers won the draw control battle 37 to 32 and were perfect on their clear attempts. Graduate Claire Bockstie continued to show her impact on offense as she led Clemson in scoring with four goals and added two assists, allowing her to stay Clemson’s leader in total points.

The last time these two teams faced each other was February 25, 2023 in South Bend, Ind. Clemson stayed with Notre Dame throughout the game and was leading 6-4 at halftime. However, three yellow cards in the fourth quarter gave Notre Dame the advantage and the Fighting Irish outscored the Tigers 5-1 in the last 15 minutes.

Clemson enters the matchup ranked in the top 15 in several statistical categories, including No. 3 in clearing percentage, No. 8 in shots on goal per game, No. 10 in free position percentage and No. 13 in draw controls per game. Clemson beats Notre Dame in goals per game, goals per game, shot percentage, save percentage and clear percentage. A win against Notre Dame Friday would be the highest ranked win in Clemson Lacrosse program history.
