CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) – Torry Holt caught fourth touchdown passes from Jamie Barnette, the last with 37 seconds to play to give North Carolina State a 46-39 Atlantic Coast Conference victory over Clemson on Saturday.

Holt’s 9-yard TD, his 11th of the day to give him 219 yards, capped a six-play, 80-yard drive. Barnette finished 20-of-33 for 374 yards.

Clemson (2-7 overall, 1-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) overcame a 28-9 deficit on the passing of Brandon Streeter, who set school records for completions and yardage in going 27-of-38 for 329 yards. His TD passes of 14 and 25 yards to Mal Lawyer and 52 yards to Brian Wofford pulled Clemson into a 36-35 lead with 6:19 to play. David Richardson’s 40-yard field goal with 2:15 left gave the Tigers a 39-38 lead.

Clemson had a last chance, but Streeter’s pass was intercepted by Lloyd Harrison and North Carolina State (5-3, 3-2) ran out the clock.

The Wolfpack spotted Clemson a 9-0 first-quarter lead, then blew out to a 21-9 halftime lead on Barnette TD passes of 85 and 17 yards to Holt and Ray Robinson’s 3-yard run.

A 36-yard fumble return by Jason Perry gave North Carolina State a 28-9 lead 96 seconds into the third quarter.
