Clemson Posts Four Double-Digit Scorers in Win at FSU

Tigers defeat Seminoles for third consecutive time

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Four double-digit scorers led Clemson University men’s basketball to a 78-67 victory over Florida State on the road on Saturday afternoon. The 11-point win was the largest by Clemson in Tallahassee since 1998.

The Tigers (13-5, 3-4 ACC) were led by Chase Hunter (Atlanta, Ga./Westlake) and PJ Hall (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman) who scored 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Josh Beadle (Columbia, S.C./Cardinal Newman) provided a huge boost off the bench both offensively and defensively, posting a career-best 12 points. Joseph Girard III (Glens Falls, N.Y./Glens Falls) totaled 10 and seven rebounds.

In just his second game after not playing since Nov. 26 at Alabama, Jack Clark (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) provided the Tigers seven points, seven rebounds and four assists off the bench. All season highs.

Clemson tied Florida State late in the opening stanza to go into the locker room tied 30-30. After the break, the Tigers scored the first seven points of the period to gain momentum.

The Seminoles came within a point at 41-40, but the Tigers kept them at bay for the majority of the second half including a game-high 13-point lead with under six minutes to play.

The Tigers got 28 points from their bench, including 34 points in the paint.

Clemson returns to the floor on Saturday, Jan. 27 when it travels to Duke. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. on ACCN.
