Clemson Loses to South Carolina in Volleyball

Columbia, SC- South Carolina defeated Clemson 3-0 in volleyball action on Wednesday night by scores of 15-13, 15-8 and 15-13. South Carolina moves to 7-1 while Clemson falls to 5-2.

South Carolina’s freshman Cally Plummer continued her outstanding play leading all hitters with 20 kills, a career high, hitting a sparkling .514. Plummer added three aces with her jump serve, three assists, 11 digs, one block solo and four block assists.

Senior Ashley Edlund added nine kills, hitting .600. She added 47 assists, four aces and eight digs.

Clemson was led by junior Alison Coday who recorded 19 kills for the Tigers. Junior Cindy Stern added 14 kills and 10 digs.

Clemson will travel to Kentucky this weekend to play in the Kentucky tournament and face Arkansas State, SMU and host Kentucky.
