Clemson Invitational Track And Field Meet To Be Held Friday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Invitational will be held on Friday, January 14 at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, SC. Running events begin at 8 a.m. with the men’s and women’s 3000m. Field events will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the women’s long jump, and running events will continue at 2:15 p.m. when the trials are held for the 60m hurdles The final event, the 4x400m relay, is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

Teams participating include Clemson, Alabama A&M, Auburn, Berry, Brevard, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, Furman, Georgia, Georgia State, Life, North Carolina A&T State, North Carolina Central (men only), UNC Charlotte, UNC Wilmington, South Carolina (women only), South Carolina State, Shaw, Western Carolina, Winthrop and Wofford.

The Clemson men’s track and field team is ranked seventh nationally according to the Trackwire preseason poll. The Tigers will face #3 Auburn and #15 Georgia in the Clemson Invitational this weekend.
