CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Women’s Basketball team (11-12, 4-8) is hosting its annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration on Sunday, February 9 at 2 p.m. as they take on the No. 13 North Carolina Tar Heels (20-4, 8-3). Doors will open at 1 p.m., and eight of Clemson’s women’s sports programs will be set up in stations around the concourse for various activities. The game will take place in Littlejohn Coliseum and will be broadcast on ACCNX with Pete Yanity and Jim Davis on the call. It can also be heard on the Clemson Athletic Network with William Qualkinbush and Tori Niemann on the broadcast.Â
Clemson women’s basketball has seen a 99% increase in attendance from last season, averaging 2,372 fans per game.Â
Loyal McQueen leads the Tigers in scoring, with 13.0 points per game. She also has 115 assists so far this season. The Tigers are also averaging 7.9 made threes per game, which is on track to break the season record in program history. Five Tigers are shooting above 36% from three: Hannah Kohn, Mia Moore, Tessa Miller, Loyal McQueen and Maddi Cluse.Â
