Clemson, SC—Zack Gordon shot a three-under-par 69 on Wednesday to  lead Clemson in the final round of the first Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan.    Clemson finished ninth in the 18-team tournament, the first appearance at a college golf tournament in the state of Michigan in Clemson history

Gordon’s round included four birdies and just one bogey, as his only blemish came on the par three seventh hole on the course, his 16th hole of the day on the par 72 course that was designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Gordon improved his place in the  individual standings by 20 positions, the biggest improvement on Wednesday among the 90 players in the field.    It was Gordon’s 17th career round in the 60s, his second this year.   The  Super Senior from  Gaffney, SC finished in a tie for 14th place with a 54-hole score of 219.
