CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball team (11-10, 4-6) fell to the Syracuse Orange (8-12, 2-7) in a hard-fought battle in Littlejohn Coliseum this afternoon. Loyal McQueen led the Tigers in scoring with 15 points and received her 1,000-point game ball today.

The Tigers started strong, taking the advantage over Syracuse in period one. Hannah Kohn knocked down back-to-back threes during the quarter, putting the Tigers up five against the Orange. She had seven points in the period and 13 points in total on four made threes.

Moore was a force on defense, achieving a new career high in steals, grabbing five of Clemson’s nine steals. She also grabbed 10 rebounds, one shy of tying her season best. Tessa Miller also performed well defensively, putting up eight boards and going 3-6 from the floor and 5-7 from the line. She also scored in double figures with eleven points.

Clemson’s bench outscored Syracuse’s 27-15, and the Tigers converted 17 points off of Orange turnovers. However, Clemson struggled to shoot today, and Syracuse capitalized on opportunities in a way that the Tigers could not recover from as the clock wound down.
