Clemson Drops Road Contest at Notre Dame, 69-62

Ian Schieffelin tallies double-double; PJ Hall finishes with 21 points

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Clemson University men’s basketball fell on the road at Notre Dame on Saturday by a final score of 69-62.

The Tigers (20-9, 10-8 ACC) were led by Ian Schieffelin (Loganville, Ga./Grayson) who totaled his eighth double-double of the season with 10 points and 14 rebounds. PJ Hall (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman) led the Tigers with 21 points and finished with seven rebounds.

Chauncey Wiggins (Grayson, Ga./Grayson) and Joseph Girard III (Glens Falls, N.Y./Glens Falls) both tallied double-digit points with 12 and 11, respectively.

Clemson led 34-31 after the opening stanza, but Notre Dame would make a late run in the second half that the Tigers wouldn’t be able to overcome. The Tigers finished 5-for-28 from three in the game.

The Tigers return to the court on Tuesday, March 5 when they host Syracuse for Senior Night at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
