CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson’s Emmy-winning original video content will air on ACC Network, ESPNU and on demand in the ESPN App in a new partnership announced on Monday. The long-form video content, produced by Clemson Athletics staff and Clemson Ventures, will air as part of the “Authentic ACC” series beginning Oct. 6.
“We are excited to deepen our relationship with ESPN in the original content space to reach new audiences, as well as the most die-hard Clemson fans,” said Clemson Director of Athletics Graham Neff. “This distribution strategy unlocks new value for our fans, our broadcast partner and our existing sponsors. We are thankful to the team at ESPN for their engagement.”
“We have been eager to partner directly with schools to create original content, and this opportunity with Clemson Ventures was a perfect chance to do that,” said Jeramy Michiaels, ESPN Senior Director, Programming & Acquisitions. “Clemson’s tradition and passionate fan base make for compelling storytelling and represents the type of innovative programming we want to continue developing with other ACC programs.”
Five episodes of House Calls featuring Avieon Terrell, Cade Klubnik, Adam Randall, Blake Miller and Wade Woodaz, as well as the Trenches featuring Clemson’s offensive line, will each air on Mondays from 7-8 p.m.
Clemson is the first ACC school to strike a partnership with the network to air its original content, with additional hot-market opportunities on additional ESPN networks. Future programming will be announced at a later date.
