Clemson Athletic Department, Littlejohn Coliseum And Tigers For Tsunami Relief To Collect Donations On Feb. 8

The Clemson Athletic Department and Littlejohn Coliseum in conjunction with Tigers for Tsunami Relief will be collecting monetary donations to benefit those affected by the recent Asian tsunami at the Clemson-Georgia Tech men’s basketball game to be played on Tuesday, Feb. 8. All contributions will be collected before, during and after the game at Littlejohn Coliseum, and the proceeds will be donated to three relief agencies – UNICEF, Red Cross and Association for India’s Development. The Athletic Department, Littlejohn Coliseum and Tigers for Tsunami Relief encourage all fans attending Tuesday’s game to contribute to the relief effort to assist those individuals whose lives, homes and families were altered or destroyed by January’s tsunami.

Tigers for Tsunami Relief, a collaborative effort of various student leaders, faculty, and staff of Clemson University have organized a series of fundraisers that will benefit the relief efforts of this recent tragedy. On the week of February 21-25, the Tigers for Tsunami Relief will continue their efforts to raise awareness of this natural disaster by seeking donations at five locations on campus – Library walkway, Horseshoe, Hendrix Center, Union Plaza and the walkway between Brackett and Martin.

The tipoff of the Clemson vs. Georgia Tech men’s basketball game is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
