CLEMSON, SC – Clemson Men’s Tennis Coach Chuch McCuen announced the signing of Zac Rigsby, Moritz Dettinger and Juan Bolona to National Letters of Intent to play for the Tigers in the 2010 season on Friday.

Rigsby is from Simpsonville, SC. He has been ranked as high as number-one in singles for the state of South Carolina. He also has been ranked as high as 84th nationally in his class. He won the South Carolina qualifier in Belton as he defeated Billy Kenny 7-6, 6-0. He is the son of Monty and Karen Rigsby.

Dettinger is a native of Fellbach, Germany. He has posted wins over players ranked as high as #185 and #54 in the ITF world rankings in his age group. Moritz is ranked #36 in Germany Under 18’s.

Bolona is from Guayaquil, Guayas, Ecuador. He is the number-one ranked junior player in Ecuador. He has wins over a #141 player and several players in the top 350 according to the ITF world rankings in his age group.

“I am very happy with our recruiting class,” said Clemson Head Coach Chuck McCuen. I feel as though Juan can contribute immediately, and he will compete for a spot in the upper half of our lineup. He has international experience and this will only help him as he enters Clemson.

“Moritz has posted wins over top 100 ITF players. He is incredibly fast and very tenacious and will contribute immediately.

“Zac will help us immediately on the court as a player, and off the court as a leader. He shows a lot of promise, and is a very talented athlete. We are so happy to be able to keep local talent in the state of South Carolina.”
