Clemson, SC – Clemson Tiger Sports Network announced Friday that it will broadcast 36 regular-season baseball games, while the other 20 regular-season games will be broadcast by WCCP (104.9 FM) out of Clemson. Clemson Tiger Sports Network will broadcast the 30 ACC regular-season games along with the three games against South Carolina, both games against Georgia, and the Coastal Carolina game. The network will also carry all postseason contests. The other 20 regular-season games will be aired by WCCP. All Tiger baseball games can be heard via the internet at WCCPFM.com.
Clemson also released the radio announcers for Tiger baseball on Friday. Don Munson will be the primary play-by-play announcer on the Clemson Tiger Sports Network broadcasts. Munson is in his seventh year calling Tiger baseball games. Bob Mahony, who has been a part of Clemson baseball broadcasts for the past 22 seasons, and Dan Scott will split the color commentator duties in 2010.
The 20 regular-season games that will not be carried by Clemson Tiger Sports Network will be broadcast exclusively by Scott and WCCP (104.9 FM) out of Clemson. Its schedule includes games against Florida Gulf Coast (4), Wright State (3), Elon (2), Furman (2), Charlotte (1), Dayton (1), Gardner-Webb (1), Georgia Southern (1), Miami (OH) (1), Michigan State (1), Presbyterian (1), South Carolina-Upstate (1), and Western Carolina (1).
Munson and Scott will team up for all of the Tigers’ postseason games on Clemson Tiger Sports Network. The broadcasts will begin 15 minutes prior to the start of each contest and will have comments and strategies from Head Coach Jack Leggett. The games are subject to be tape-delayed or available solely online at WCCPFM.com based on schedule conflicts with Clemson basketball games.
The following stations will carry all Tiger baseball games in 2010…WDOG (1460 AM) in the Barnwell, SC area, WCCP (104.9 FM) in the Clemson, SC area, WPCC (1410 AM) in the Clinton, SC area, WZMJ (93.1 FM) in the Columbia, SC area, WHS (1270 AM) in the Hampton, SC area, WKDK (1240 AM) in the Newberry, SC area, and WBCU (1460 AM) in the Union, SC area. The following stations will carry a partial schedule of Clemson baseball games in 2010…WCAM (1590 AM) and WPUB (102.7 FM) in the Camden, SC area and WGVL (1440 AM) in the Greenville, SC area. One station, WQNT (1450 AM) in the Charleston, SC area will carry NCAA Tournament games only.
