Chepngetich Named ACC Freshman of the Year, Tigers Complete ACC Championship

Tallahassee, Fla. – Newcomer Gladys Chepngetich was named ACC Women’s Freshman of the Year and was tabbed to the 2023 All-ACC team alongside junior Sawyer Dagan as the Clemson Tigers complete the conference cross country championship in Tallahassee.

“The ACC is a tough conference and I am really proud of how both teams competed today. It was great to see Sawyer grab an All ACC spot and an honor for Gladys as she captured the ACC freshman of the year award,” Head Coach Vicky Pounds said.

As one of the Top-21 finishers, Chepngetich was also named to the Women’s All-ACC team.
