Cavaliers Top Tigers Sunday Afternoon

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers (8-7, 0-4 ACC) gave a great effort against No. 11 Virginia (11-5, 5-0 ACC) at Duckworth Family Tennis Facility but ultimately fell 4-0 on Sunday afternoon. 

The Cavaliers came ready to play as they picked up wins on Courts 1 and 2 to solidify the doubles point early by scores of 6-2, 6-2.

The Tigers didn’t go away quietly as Ryuhei Azuma took the first set with Teodor Giusca and Max Smith gaining momentum on Courts 1 and 6, but victories on Courts 3, 4 and 5 clinched the match, 4-0 for the Cavaliers. 

Up next, the Tigers will travel to Atlanta, Ga. on Wednesday for another ACC matchup as they play Georgia Tech. First serve against the Yellowjackets will be at 4:00 p.m.
