CLEMSON, S.C. – Head Coach Amanda Butler and her staff announced the addition of Daisha Bradford (Mobile, Ala./Jones College) on Thursday. Bradford rounds out a six-person 2021 signing class for the Tigers.
“I chose Clemson because of their consistency,” Bradford told JCBobcats.com. “They made it known I was a priority to them and their program. They have great players, coaches, facilities and compete in the ACC. When I first talked to coach (Amanda) Butler, I didn’t hear any flaw about her telling me what I could do for her program. Coach (Daniel) Barber also played a huge role in me signing with them and I loved the things he would take out of his day to do.”
Bradford will play one season for Jones College before heading to Clemson. She redshirted at Tallahassee CC in 2019-20, but as a freshman in 2018-19, Bradford averaged 17.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists for Tallahassee. She was named WBCA All-American Honorable Mention and First Team All-Panhandle Conference while helping the Eagles to a 25-5 record and No. 9 national ranking.
In high school, Bradford played at LeFlore (Ala.) and averaged 21 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assist. She helped Leflore to a 33-3 record and an appearance in the state Class 6A semifinals in her senior season. Bradford started all four years and helped her team to an undefeated season and 6A state championship in 2016. She was named 2018 AL.com Coastal Alabama Girls Basketball Player of the Year, 2017-18 First Team All-Coastal and 2017-2018 ASWA Second Team All-State and was selected to the 2018 Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Basketball Game. Bradford was named to the 2017 USA Today High School Sports Super 25 Preseason Girls Basketball top players list, was selected to the 2017 Alabama North-South All Star game and was named the Most Valuable Player for the South.
