Baseball Player Named Freshman All-American

June 22, 1998

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson freshman Patrick Boyd was named a First-Team Freshman All-American by Baseball America. Boyd was one of just three outfielders on the first team.

Boyd is currently playing for the United States National Team. He is the only player on the squad to play in all 14 games and is currently hitting .242 with four RBIs.

Boyd hit .344 with eight homers and 59 RBIs for Clemson in 1998. He also started every game in centerfield.

News
